At the Hearst paper, I was given access to cutting-edge data sources and individual mentorship with an award-winning enterprise reporter. Throughout the year, I worked on a piece exploring the prominence of mental health and substance abuse in the San Antonio law community. My piece followed one high-earning practitioner's journey to sobriety, and included statistics on the rates of suicide and addiction affecting the career.
